Grand Masti is on a historic run at the box office, in almost every city – every circuit across India. The film has passed the ‘Monday test’ with flying colours and could be the first ‘Adult’ rated film to cross the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office.
The Indra Kumar directed sex comedy has collected Rs 8 crore on Monday, which is an incredible achievement considering the fact that ticket prices are slashed at multiplexes during the weekdays.
Grand Masti is almost certain to the cross the 60 crore mark in its first week and could even get pretty close to the 70 crore mark if business holds up over the remaining weekdays.
The first week business will more than double the lifetime business of Vivek Oberoi’s previous biggest hit – Shootout At Lokhandwala (Rs 30.25 crore). Grand Masti is Riteish Deshmukh’s 6th consecutive success and the biggest grosser of Aftab Shivdasani’s career too. Outstanding!
